Project Technical Specialist I
Contract of Service for a DOST-funded project SG 16 (Php 52,272.00/month)
Key responsibilities:
- Leads and oversees the execution of laboratory activities related to molecular biology and bioinformatic analyses
- Conducts nucleic acid extraction (DNA/RNA) and PCR-based assays from biological samples
- Performs transcriptome and/or methylome analysis
- Prepares manuscript for publication
- Provides electronic copies of related protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years of work experience or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biology or related field
- Hands-on experience with nucleic acid extraction, PCR-based techniques, and basic molecular biology workflows
- Background in R, Python, or relevant bioinformatics pipelines/tools
- Experience in handling transcriptome and/or methylome data is a strong advantage
