The Institute would like to congratulate Ms. Charmaine R. Peredas, M.S. for receiving an International Award from the Japanese Association for Laboratory Animal Science (JALAS)!

Ms. Peredas receiving her Certificate of Recognition from Dr. Etsuro Ono, President of the Japanese Association for Laboratory Animal Science (JALAS).

She was awarded a Certificate of Recognition and cash incentive, along with other three awardees during the 66th Annual Meeting of the JALAS held last 15-17 May 2019 at the Fukuoka International Congress Center, Fukuoka City, Japan. She presented her paper entitled, “Ex vivo and in vivo antispasmodic activity of hexane GCC sub-fractions of Tabernaemontana pandacaqui Poi. leaves in ICR mice”, which was a part of her MS thesis research. Ms. Peredas recently received her M.S. Biology degree from the Institute. She is also an Instructor under the Physiology Academic Group, where she teaches Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy and Animal Physiology. Congratulations Shomen!
