UNIVERSITY RESEARCH ASSOCIATE I (URA 1) POSITIONS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS: Cell Biology and Microbiology. (Deadline: before Nov 9, 2016)
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a B.S. degree
- Must have a Civil Service Certificate (CSC) or Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license (honor graduates of 4-year course are already civil service eligible)
- Must be enrolled in UP Diliman College of Science graduate school program (preferentially in Institute of Biology) [Incoming graduate student for 2nd sem 2016-2017 may be accepted provided that an acceptance letter from the CS is available by December 1, 2016.]

Earthworm Research: The prospective URA should have adventurous nature and be willing to do field work. Field activities will include logistics coordination with the LGUs in the Visayas and collection of earthworms in forested areas (which are not under the Protected Areas of the DENR-Biodiversity Management Bureau). Field work may be around two months. Laboratory activity will include morphological examination of the earthworm specimens.
